Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-manager

I am new to Linux so I am not sure what additional information you may
need besides this report.

Version I am currently is 7.10 Gusty Gibbons

I keep receiving a message that updates are available however after I
allow auto update to run and it tells me there is a newer version of
Ubantu available plus 700+ other updates. I try to downlod the newer
version of Ubuntu first. It downloads the files and begins to install
the updated files when the message appears

"The upgrade aborts now. Your system could be in an unstable state. A
recovery will run now (dpkg--configure-a)" It then asks me if I want
to report a bug.

Thanks
