It is already bad enough that Launchpad is proprietary software, but
that you have to use proprietary software to access it, that's too much
:) Maybe you have to clean out some cookies in Firefox?

For the hardware summary, it would be even better if you run "lspci >
lspci.txt" and attach lspci.txt, as this gives more precise information.

You will probably get rid of the crashes if you add: Option "NoDRI"
to the "Device" section of your /etc/X11/xorg.conf . Can you please try that?
