This is happening to me, too, exactly as described, and screencapped by others. I'm on Hardy, running Compiz. Any luck so far in figuring out what causes it? Btw, I get rid of it by giving a quick middle-click on the desktop, as that causes the cube to zoom back in preparation for spinning, and as such, refreshes everything.
I'm wondering if it has any relation to a Firefox bug that causes my FF 3.0 to make a few random vertical lines in the background, too, usually to the right of itself. I get rid of those the same way. It would seem Compiz isn't updating the display(s) sometimes. -- update-manager leaves screen gray after sudo authentication https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/204991 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
