Dear David, thank you for taking the time to file this report (and
creating the screenshot). However, what you are describing is not a bug
(in the definition of "something the software advertises to do but fails
to do"). This behaviour is obviously intended.
I encourage you to file the same report under brainstorm.ubuntu.com, the
website for proposing and discussing ideas to make Ubuntu better.
Also, feel free to report any other bugs you may come across.
