Binary package hint: udev
The kernel should not depend on udev. udev represents unnecessary
complexity; evidenced by its apparent bugginess and inadequate coverage
of SCSI and probably other devices. It should be optional, available for
those configurations where its features are useful and not depended on
for configurations where its feature are superfluous
