Binary package hint: consolekit
For the last few days, my syslog has been filling up with lines like the
following:

This started happening about 3 days ago, and it seems to write this ever
few seconds. My /var/log/syslog file is now about 19 megabytes.
This might be the affected package:

A temporary workaround, suggested on ubuntu-users:
$ sudo -i
# echo org.freedesktop.Consolekit 131.252.210.177 >> /etc/hosts
