I attempted to run with the proprietary NVIDIA drivers shut off, but still got crashes.
It is possible as beefcurry wrote that the crashes were less frequent, but I can't swear to it. I haven't been able to discern a pattern in the crashing, so I'm uncertain if there was a change in it. Hopefully our renewed input will prompt an elevation of this issue. It is damn irritating, as I'm sure you can all imagine. Sorry I don't have more input, but I will continue to monitor this bug report and let you know about any changes that I experience in the status of the issue.
