Since this involves changes to 3 packages, let's address those separately: 1) xorg metapackage: Depending on the transitional -amd package is the wrong thing to do. It should have been changed to depend on -geode before Hardy was released.
2) nsc: changes in XSF scripts were performed by Brice Goglin at Debian. Of what I understood, this fixes previously improper target cleaning.
