I tried Larry Finger's advice above (with 'break=top') and then
blacklisting ssb whilst trying to install ubuntu. It did not work. It
still hangs during boot with
b43legacy-phy0: Broadcom 4303 WLAN found
I also tried blacklisting b43legacy, b43, b44 and any other combination
I could think of. Still no success. I get the feeling that blacklisting
does not work?
$ sudo lspci -nn|grep Broad
00:0c.0 Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM4303 802.11b
Wireless LAN Controller [14e4:4301] (rev 02)
$ sudo ndiswrapper -l
bcmwl5 : driver installed
device (14E4:4301) present (alternate driver: bcm43xx)
It works fine in gentoo using ndiswrapper.
Any ideas what to do next?
