I have a probably related problem. Namely, when running vinagre to
connect to a kvm virtual machine, running Windows, the mouse seems to
believe that the screen border is not where it should be.

The consequence is that I sometimes cannot reach the "Start" button,
because the mouse cursor cannot go below a certain row, or certain icons
cannot be clicked.

This problem seems to be solved by shaking quickly the mouse, that is,
moving it very fast. Seems that then the cursor overcomes those previous
limits -- probably due to a miscalculation of the coordinates again.
