Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: wink

Running Hardy (Ubuntu 8.04.1) installed wink from repositories.
wink:
  Installed: 1.5.1060-3ubuntu1
  Candidate: 1.5.1060-3ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 1.5.1060-3ubuntu1 0
        500 http://mirror.switch.ch hardy/multiverse Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

After installation wink cannot start and reports a missing library:
"/usr/lib/wink/wink: error while loading shared libraries:
libexpat.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
directory"

In fact lIbrary is present on the system, there is:
/usr/lib/libexpat.so.1 (link) and
/usr/lib/libexpat.so.1.5.2 (library)

Workaround:
create additional link in /usr/lib/ to libexpat.so.1.5.2 and rename it to
/usr/lib/libexpat.so.0

after this wink starts correctly...

Take care

Miran
