Re. the blinking cursor/no X issue, my system is up-to-date (I'm assuming Martin-Éric's PPA builds have been worked into proposed because they're no longer available), and I've rebuilt kernels and image, purged the amd package, but I'm still getting the same problem. I don't know about chrooting--I tried that but I can't update&&upgrade since the network doesn't seem to be working through chroot. (I have no idea how to do this since I'm not much of a chroot user.) Am I still doing something wrong or is there still a problem with this geode setup? For what it's worth, I still get the blinking cursor even when I set "XSERVER = none", so does that mean this is a separate issue from the driver issue? -- xorg failure with geode based terminal https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/131675 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
