Public bug reported:
Installed Edgy RC 1. Installed msttcorefonts. Under Preferences/Fonts,
set various app and window fonts to Arial, Smoothing to None, and
Hinting to Slight. (This gives me results in every other app that are
equivalent to the sharpness you get in Windows, which I prefer). This
combination works perfectly in OpenOffice Dapper (MS fonts display crisp
and well formed, as in Windows). In Edgy, it looks like no hinting is
applied by OpenOffice, so fonts are blocky looking. (I will attach a
screen shot, below.)
