In the Q&A section this issue is marked as "solved": https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+question/35857 The "solution" is to remove the hidden openoffice.org2 directory, thus losing all your settings, and have OOo create new default settings. It looks like a good idea to remove the "solved" flag.
