Public bug reported:
I went on Sourceforge and found that Gnucash2.2.5 was the latest Stable
version. Someone gave me a link to GetDeb. From there I downloaded and
installed Gnucash2.2.4 for Ubuntu 7.10 32bit, and Gnucash2.2.5 for Ubuntu 8.04
32bit, this fixed the problem for now. Gnucash2.2.1 is not the stable version,
and produces errors. I downloaded Gnucash2.2.1 from Add/Remove, in Ubuntu 7.10,
and being unfamiliar with it did not notice the errors until recently. Number 1
below, Not sure??
Ages ago I did programing in Basic, and Machine Code, but with newer CPU's
coming out in those days it got too complicated to continue with it. In my mind
I could not keep the Assembler from the different CPU's separated. So I
stopped. I know many of the terms you are using, but not the nitty gritty
details.
