The dosemu-freedos package was merged into the dosemu package (see
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=426708) and therefore the
dosemu-freedos package has been removed since Ubuntu Hardy, so the issue you
described should no longer happen.
Feel free to reopen if you still have this problem in Hardy or later.
