I think the following lines from the Xorg log are the interesting ones: drmOpenDevice: node name is /dev/dri/card0 drmOpenDevice: open result is -1, (No such device or address) drmOpenDevice: open result is -1, (No such device or address) drmOpenDevice: Open failed [drm] failed to load kernel module "fglrx" (WW) fglrx(0): Failed to open DRM connection
Can't spot anything in the dmesg output. The compiz FAQ mentions that the white screen problem is a common result of the graphics driver not loading. FYI, I'm using the stock fglrx driver from the ubuntu repositories. Also, perhaps this forum post is related: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=829968 -- [regression] Visual effects stopped working after last compiz+kernel update on fglrx https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/243073 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
