Here's something kind of interesting: the new 2.6.26-2-generic kernel in Intrepid somehow magically fixed my audio capture. I had previously (a few months ago) tried the HG version of ALSA, with no effect... but this time, somehow, the new kernel must've changed something else (perhaps interrupt handling? Beats me). When I get a chance, I'll try the HG ALSA again on the Hardy 2.6.24-19-generic kernel, and perhaps this time it will fix capture on that kernel.
Note: until the entirely separate issue of nvidia and fglrx with Xen kernels is figured out, I can't recommend installing the Intrepid kernel in Hardy -- it's not an "easy" fix. -- sigmatel STAC9250 on ATI HDA SB on gateway laptop - no sound capture https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/111145 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
