Binary package hint: alsa-base
I can get sound to work on speakers on the laptop only, headphones only
or sound coming from both. This is done via gnome volume control. Under
windows vista, the speakers on the laptop will mute automatically if the
headphone jack is inserted. I cannot get this functionality with hardy
heron.
