Well, I believe i945 is modern. But you are probably right about missing extension:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ compiz --replace gconf [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x5b compiz.real: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is missing compiz.real: Failed to manage screen: 0 compiz.real: No manageable screens found on display :0.0 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ compiz --indirect-rendering --replace gconf [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x5b compiz.real: No stencil buffer. Clipping of transformed windows is not going to be correct when screen is transformed. Switching to using non-fbo path compiz.real: water: GL_ARB_fragment_program is missing So probably xorg-intel-driver in Edgy needs updating. I will reassign this bug. ** Changed in: compiz (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: compiz => xserver-xorg-video-intel -- compiz very slow on i945 (edgy) https://launchpad.net/bugs/66281 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
