1. You need to give more info: kubuntu release version, uname -a, lspci -v would also be nice. Even a description of the problem. More specific than just "it doesn't boot"
2. While debatable, there is generally no need for antivirus software for linux, unless said software can detect rootkits. AVG is one I've heard has a linux version. This is not an endorsement, just an "i heard". 3. ubuntu is not supported on ppc except for 6.06 LTS. Go to www.kubuntu.org/downloads.php 4. More info needed. A copy of `dmesg` for starters, as well as `lspci -v` and `lsmod` 5. All major filesystems in ubuntu (redhat, debian, centos) will not perform noticeably better when defragmented as in windows. Just be sure there is >10-15% free space on any one disk partition. -- why my computer freezes up every few minutes with the kubuntu but not with the ubuntu ??? https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/244729 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
