Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: acpi

That's pretty much it really. The fan is always on, acpi reports it on,
the temperature is at a reasonable value.

There is a DSDT for both the V2035 and V2030 which makes it possible for the
fan to be controlled. (does not allow it to be turned off however). This was
released on the 2nd of oct 2006. Can be found here:
http://acpi.sourceforge.net/dsdt/dl.php?id=680
and here:
http://acpi.sourceforge.net/dsdt/view.php?id=574

Experienced this in edgy, but I'm assuming it goes all the way back down
the line.

** Affects: acpi (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
