Bmattew1: Thanks a lot! I made only a small adjustment: I didn't install gcc-4.1 because the newer version (gcc-4.2) was already installed on my machine. This newer version seem to be also OK for the toolbar bookmark feature working correctly with Ubuntu 8.04.1 and the Firefox from the Ubuntu repository.
