Hi Nishith,

Thanks for testing and the feedback. I see you tested the latest Hardy
kernel. Would you be willing to test the latest upcoming Intrepid 8.10
kernel just to verify the issue exists in the upcoming release and if
the workaround is still necessary?

Basically do the following:

1. Create the file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/intrepid.list to include the
following two lines:

deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ intrepid main

deb-src http://mirrors.cat.pdx.edu/ubuntu/ intrepid main

2. Run the following command from a terminal: sudo apt-get update

3. You should then be able to install the linux-image-2.6.26-3-generic
kernel package

4. After you've finished installing, remove the intrepid.list list file
you created. Run 'sudo apt-get update' once more.

5. After you've finished testing feel free to also remove the linux-
image-2.6.26-3-generic kernel package if you want.

Please let us know your results. Thanks!
