Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mail-notification
The current packages in Ubuntu Hardy and Intrepid are mail- notification 4.1 (http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=mail+notification&searchon=names&suite=all§ion=all) This is a very old version. It was released on 26-Jun-2007. Current version is Mail Notification 5.4, released on May 22, 2008. See http://www.nongnu.org/mailnotify. It has many new features like the ability to check hotmail accounts and bugfixes. Please consider packaging it for Intrepid (so it could be backported to hardy). Package mail-notification-evolution plugin depends on mail-notification, it should be packaged too.
