Strange behaviour - when the machine boots up I select version ubuntu 2.6.18
The usual default Ubuntu splash screen is replaced by Ubuntu studio splash
screen. This is fine no problem.
However once the ubuntu studio splash screen disappears the screen is now
garbelled (loads of this multi coloured lines).
The screen then goes blank then a cursor appears briefly (probably for 5 secs)
before disappearing.
At the same time the screen now tries to load up but more screen craziness
appears. Can not see anything on screen then a few secs later the screen goes
blank and the machine does not respond.
Now the weird thing - after I reboot the machine if I select kernel
version 2.6.16 evereything loads up correctly - however without the
ubuntu studio splash screen.
