Binary package hint: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24-19-generic
Installed restricted modules and was missing the entire acx folder in
/lib/firmware/2.6.24-19-generic/
I found these errors from dmesg command in terminal:
acx: firmware image 'acx/default/tiacx100c11' was not provided. Check your
hotplug scripts

I also wanted to post a workaround for users having the same problem.
In a terminl type:
sudo cp -r /lib/firmware/2.6.24-17-generic/acx/
/lib/firmware/2.6.24-19-generic/
sudo modprobe acx
** Affects: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24 (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
