Binary package hint: k9copy
Assuming a DVD has been backed up to a folder on a hard drive, and you
configure k9copy to create an mp4 from the main title + audio, it
consistently halts at ~75%. The avi that's created is playable but
abruptly halts I guess 3/4s of the way through the movie. The file size
is anywhere from 750 to 800MBs, even though k9copy is configured to
compress at 700MB.
