Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: libgtk2.0-dev
Well, I think the transscript pretty much says everything:
- - - - - - -
$ sudo apt-get install libgtk2.0-dev
[sudo] password for xxx:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libgtk2.0-dev: Depends: libcairo2-dev but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libgtk2.0-0 (= 2.12.9-3ubuntu2) but 2.12.9-3ubuntu4
is to be installed
Depends: libpango1.0-dev (>= 1.10.0-2) but it is not going to
be installed

My system is:
$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 8.04.1
Release: 8.04
$ uname -a
Linux piccard 2.6.24-19-generic #1 SMP Wed Jun 4 15:10:52 UTC 2008 x86_64
GNU/Linux

Is it possible somewhere "= 2.12.9-3ubuntu2" is noted while ">=
2.12.9-3ubuntu2" is meant?
