I think this is better suited as a question, rather than a bug report.
OK... I'm having trouble understanding you, but I'll do my best:
1. Do you mean the drive is not being mounted? If you do, from a command line,
"sudo mkdir /media/otherdisk", "sudo mount /dev/sdb1 /media/otherdisk"
(replacing /dev/sdb1 with whatever your second disk is), can you access the
drive in /media/otherdisk?
The best way to get it to mount at boot is to add the drive to
/etc/fstab.
2. Konqueror does have built in search. I can't at present (in KDE 4)
see the search box that it always used to have. Hopefully this will be
back for KDE 4.1. In the meantime, try "gg:badger"
3. Kill it and try again? You will need to enter your password at the SU
prompt.
4. Settings -> Configure Kmail -> Accounts. The system is not very
intuitive, sadly, but if I remember rightly it should pop up a wizard
the first time it is run to help you.
