Public bug reported:
Trying Intrepid's 2.6.26-3, my custom DSDT wasn't loaded at boot time.
I did a quick check of the kernel config file and got that result for 2.6.24-19:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/boot# cat config-2.6.24-19-generic | grep DSDT
CONFIG_ACPI_CUSTOM_DSDT_INITRD=y
and that for 2.6.26-3:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/boot$ cat config-2.6.26-3-generic | grep DSDT
# CONFIG_ACPI_CUSTOM_DSDT is not set
CONFIG_ACPI_CUSTOM_DSDT_FILE=""
Linux 2.6.26 should be configured to look for custom DSDT in the initrd
so my laptop doesn't use the buggy manufacturer's DSDT (making my fans
go at full speed ...)
