Public bug reported:
i updated by hardy 8.04 desktop which has d-link wireless card. First of all
during the update teh machine crashed (very unusual). Restarted and restated
the update process. the update manager required a restart.
after rebooting the system, i had to fix it for graphics (xorg). however after
the system started up my network managed claimed that i have only wired
connection. I lost the wreles connection
The bug is a show stopper and is similar to #205071 and #96098.
