Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: upstart

Hello,
booting my laptop is very slow in a Dual core Intel T7300 (2 GHz), using
Ubuntu 64 bits.
However, booting is fast (normal speed) when restarting the laptop.

The boot process freezes about 3 minutes after the message "Reading files
needed to boot..." is shown.
Then, it freezes about 3 minutes again after the message: "Preparing
restricted drivers...".
I've seen that these messages are produces by /etc/init.d/readahead and
/etc/init.d/linux-restricted-modules-common.
Any idea on how to find which process is freezing the system?

I use the nvidia proprietary driver (from linux-restricted-modules
package) and ndiswrapper.
