Really - so I'll try to get ahead of things by just having started retrieval and compilation of the 2.6.25.10 kernel through the one-click "kernelcheck" script (http://www.ubuntu-unleashed.com/2007/09/upgrade-to-latest-kernelorg-kernel-with.html) as well as a backported version of wpa_supplicant/wext using prevu: sudo apt-get install prevu sudo prevu-init prevu https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/intrepid/+source/wpasupplicant/0.6.3-2/+files/wpasupplicant_0.6.3-2.dsc
