It seems to be 'normal' behaviour --

all windows applications are compatible with Wine...
GTalk is 'normal' jabber (XMPP) protocol, so you can use some IM client
that supports Jabber (Pidgin, Gajim, Kopete, Psi...) to comunicate via
GTalk...
