Thanks Brian. I did attach the stuff requested in the https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingSoundProblems link off that page, but don't know how to get the package pinned down any better than linux (which you have set). Hopefully this will be enough to get someone started.
Unfortunately after the last set of updates, once I log into gnome the screen goes to a blank light beige or white uniform field. I can still ctrl-alt-F1 to get to terminal and tried apt-get update / upgrade, but the updates that came down didn't fix the problem. If I can help anyone with more info from terminal I would be happy to help tomorrow after work. Otherwise I suspect it will be this weekend before I get things fixed up (I'm hoping for a magic update in the mean time :-). -- No sound from Rythmbox or Flash Movies on Vaio VGN-CR120E (64-bit Intrepid) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/245616 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
