Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

When trying to opne a text Document without a .txt or any .bleh it tries to
open it and fails with
Malformed patch header. No orig name
'\n'

the file i am trying to open is named ~/Documents/saved_files/Commands
this happens with all like named files. html files open in browser like they
should and odt open in OO.o
The text files should open in default text editor including files that first
line is # since in bash its a comment as well as other scripts. It asks to
display or run and i click disply and thats when i get the error
