Well, there's not much else I can do for you, is there? One advice I could give you is (since, from what I understand, you're only interested in the data of the spreadsheet, not the macros) to save it as a csv file (comma separated values) and then re-open the csv with openoffice and convert it back to an ods file... Keep in mind that csv saves only the current sheet, so if your document has more than 1, you have to create multiple csv files...
