yes, the issue should be related to linux-restricted-modules... you seem to be getting a lot of "ath_pci: disagrees about version of symbol ..." and "ath_pci: Unknown symbol ...", and this not just once but multiple times in the same session dmesg... it's strange that downgrading didn't fix the problem... i am guessing that compiling madwifi from source made your wireless work again, am I right?
