Thanks for your report. There are lots of the above errors in the
syslog, which usually indicate a faulty hard disk. It may help to check
whether the hard disk is old and in need of replacement, or to move the
system to a cooler environment.
Edgy's installer will notice this and display roughly the above error
message instead of a traceback.
