** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: xubuntu-docs

When trying to copy to floppy, it says Abi file is write protected. When
I drag the abi file onto the floppy icon, it says "permission denied. I
tried to change permissions, but it would not allow me to change. This
should be a simple process, but getting very frustrating. I saved the
Abi file to the desktop and then tried to save it to the user folder,
and it said folder was "write protected". NOTE: I saved the file as a
microsoft DOC file, to be opened in XP later on.

Update July 13: I am Recycling and refurbishing older computers and donating
to those in need. I use xubuntu on slower computers such as athlon and celeron
CPU's. On over a dozen of these computers, I cannot save an Abi word file to a
floppy disk. What more information do you possibly need? Try it yourselves.
  Thank you.

Using Version 8.04 Written to disk
+
+ Dougie: I have not tried other file types, as all those computers have
+ been donated to families with young children. These children need a
+ simple way to save their files to a floppy drive, not using the command
+ line, something similar to windows; save as .....to A:.
+
+ And yes, the floppy was mounted. This problem seems to exist only in
+ xubuntu. In Ubuntu 8.04, this is not a problem. Perhaps some code has
+ been left out of xubunto that will solve this problem.
+
+ PS: This is the only distro suited to older Athlon and Celeron machines.
