I'm confirming this bug, because noticed this error message on my system too,
problem isn't in hard disk space, but in calculation of CD-R (media) space -
error message is "not enough disc space on media".
AFAIK brasero 0.7 wrongly calculates size of audio CD before burning, I've meet
with this bug during creation of "Audio CD Project" - Brasero displays that
audio disk should fit in 700 MB CD during creation of "Audio Project" (when I
added wav files), but I got error message "not enough disc space on media" when
I tried to burn that "Audio Project". I've removed one song from the project
and then Brasero burned Audio CD and didn't displayed error message.
I think we should if this bug exist in latest Brasero stable version - 0.8.0,
AFAIK nobody will fix problems in old stable branch - 0.7
