Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: compiz
I run Ubuntu Hardy 8.04, with desktop effects enabled. I configured 2x2
virtual desktops, use the 'snapping windows' plugin and the 'human-
clearlooks' theme. My resolution is 1280x1024. When I drag a window to
screen width, the window becomes slightly wider then 1280 pixels, and
the dragged border is partially placed on the adjacent virtual desktop.
This causes the window to appear in the task bars of both virtual
desktops, which is annoying.
Steps to reproduce:
1) use compiz, 2x2 virtual desktops, the snapping windows plugin, a resolution
of 1280x1024 and the human-clearlooks theme
2) create a terminal window on the top-left virtual desktop
3) place the window in the top-left corner of the screen (it 'snaps' there)
4) drag the right border of that window all the way to the right of the screen
Expected behavior: the window is 1280 pixels wide (or slightly less) and is
only located on the top-left virtual desktop
Actual behavior: the window is slightly wider than 1280 pixels, and is located
on both the top-left and top-right virtual desktops (and their task bars)
