This error message happened, when I booted newest livecd iso:
ubuntu-8.04.1-desktop-i386.iso
/var/logs fills with many GB:s of this error message:
[ 401.230660] phy0: not handling 0x02 type control frame
- and
Jul 14 15:45:25 ubuntu kernel: [ 284.733419] phy0: not handling 0x02 type
control frame
- etc, same error message.
Included are command outputs from:
- dmesg
- hwinfo
- lspci
- ls -lah /var/logs
