The 18 month support period for Edgy Eft 6.10 has reached it's end of
life. As a result, we are closing the linux-source-2.6.17 Edgy Eft
kernel task.

I installed a ubuntu 6.10 server iso on to a VIA C3 processor driven
mini-itxserver. Installation worked, but after reboot the kernel starts
booting and immediatly reboots the system.
The ubuntu 6.06.1 server iso does not have this problem.

Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'linux-
image-2.6.17-7-server'; however, that package was not published in
Ubuntu.
