In case update-initramfs fixes the issue it would maybe be good to have
the /boot/initrd.img-2.6.24-19-generic file from before and after
running the update-initramfs command. Please let the linux-source-2.6.17
task closed as this is the old kernel. The Ubuntu 8.04.1 kernel task is
just "linux".
