Public bug reported:
After the login screen the display goes to the Hardy Heron background
with the top and bottom panels shown but nothing on them, then sits
there for a few seconds and then the screen/background goes to
completely WHITE screen (not black).
Let me know if you need to know any of the details about the hardware.
