I did a more thorough research on this bug. It seems that this bug stays around for some years now and is many times reported upstream. Here are some links of this bug report at openoffice.org:
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=28203 http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=49343 http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=60594 http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=87476 In nearly all of them the workaround proposed was to set the paragraph language to "Arabic" instead of "Farsi". But this is not a real solution. Because: 1- The problem still remains for Farsi (i.e. Persian) language which uses the same symbols as Arabic. 2- This workaround is dirty and hard to do every time. -- Random Kashida in fully-justifed Arabic paragraph https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/246928 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
