I have applied an "patch" from upstream and as far as I can tell I have no problems. The patch is the commit that Hele mentioned earlier. (See some comments above)
I applied the patch to this package version xserver-xorg-video-intel (2:2.2.1-1ubuntu12) hardy What I have tested: - played several videos - glxgears - scrolling in Firefox was fast (only to be sure nothing else broke) - compiz (apps were running at the same time) I hope this helps to release a fixed package version.
