thanks, i'll try out the new driver, and attach the log later.

for now, i can attach current xorg.0.log and xorg.conf after dpkg-
reconfigure.

as i am looking at the log file, would it be possible that the problem
is caused by the driver using Output VGA as the primary device, and
hence the LCD monitor as the secondary device? because i think that if
yes, then the "fbc disabled" could be translated into human speech like
"let the TV (secondary screen) handle its brightness on its own; i can
shut down"

but i'm not a developer, so i do not know.
